Who We Are

Cry for Justice was started for two reasons. First, to bring awareness to people of this terribly horrific issue, modern day sex slavery. Many people have heard of the atrocities in Southeast Asia, Europe and other parts of the world dealing with this dehumanizing issue but what about America? What about the children who are being sold or rented out to the person down the street or across town for cigarette, drug and alcohol money? It could be they just want money. Modern day slavery brings in an estimated 12 billion dollars a year. We want to raise awareness not only for those in bondage around the world but for those who are in bondage in our own backyard – America!

Not only is it important to raise awareness to the adults of our communities and this nation but we must raise awareness among our children and youth. Traffickers approach potential victims in different ways, coercion, fear, kidnapping, debt bondage, etc. Our children need to be aware of the dangers associated with trafficking so they will not fall victim to it.

Second, we want to be part of helping restore the children coming out of this bondage. They are hurting physically and emotionally as well as being dehumanized and fearful.

At this time, we are developing a non-residential counseling facility for those victims who have been rescued and placed in homes with foster families, returned to parents or other relatives or care givers or other government programs. We will be able to provide counseling services to the victims and support for their care givers.

Our long term goals are to provide a home for children who no longer have a home to go to. These children could be international or from right here in America. We will provide a place of love, peace and security. It could be the first real home some of them have ever had. We will provide a loving roof over their head, food to nourish their bodies, clothing, medical care to restore their broken bodies and loving counselors and people to help restore their spirit and identity.
